Although the new location is not far from Bakhmaro and we use Bakhmaro as a stopover during the journey, the area is different than in Bakhmaro.
The hut is already at one degree at 2,400 meters and the slopes are between 2,755 and 2,100 meters. The terrain is therefore high alpine. For the most part we move in the snowy slopes above the
tree line. But that also means that on days with a snowstorm we can also have downdays. The next treeruns that Bakhmaro is so famous for are far away.
Since not all peaks can be reached with the Cat and we do not want to force the "last push", it makes sense to have freeride skiing with a touring binding. The special lines have to be earned
here.
