An almost perfect week ended with rain. Plenty of sunshine and rather moderate winds made for fantastic freeride weather.
On south-facing slopes, the sunshine quickly packed down the snow. On north-facing slopes, the snow remained nice and loose, providing good conditions.
On Thursday, rain began with the approaching warm front. Unfortunately, the rain didn't turn to snow below 2,200 meters. During the night from Friday to Saturday then, it snowed, and the Saturday
group enjoyed 30 cm of fresh snow in Maximundo (Bakhmaro 10 cm).
Many shrubs and bushes are still visible in Maximundo. Pick-Up 3 is now set up. Chridila and Sarkornia were skied extensively, and since we closed the Wolfsbett Hut, the Bakhmaro groups also
skied in Meria Keli and the Wolfsbett Bowl.
The wind had a significant impact on the snow surface, so sheltered slopes were sought out. Some of them were quite deep, as can be seen in the photos.
There were problems with cartridges again – surprisingly, also in Memmingen. This time the issue was the weight of the contents, and the security staff claimed the cartridges exceeded the
permitted weight.
The contents of gas are under 80g!
The cartridge weighs approximately 240g. Empty weight and total weight are both printed on the cartridge!
During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
