Hotels & Guesthouses

In Bakhmaro, we now operate five of our own properties: three hotels, each accommodating two groups—Stars, The PIONEERS, and Riders Lodge—and two guesthouses—Chalet and Bakhmaro Base—each accommodating only one group. Year-round operation under our management ensures a high standard of quality, both in the rooms and the food.

In keeping with our philosophy, there are no televisions in the rooms, not even in our hotels. Wi-Fi is generally only available in common areas. We want to create spaces for interaction, not encourage people to stay cooped up in their rooms.

We may also rent additional guesthouses. The standard of these rented accommodations is usually lower.

Each property is self-sufficient. We have a small team of cooks, housekeeping staff, and a service employee on-site to ensure the smooth operation of the infrastructure (heating, water, electricity). Breakfast and dinner are therefore served in each property. The guides and catamaran drivers usually also stay in the same property.

Stars by PIONEERS

The Stars is setting the standard for comfort in Bakhmaro.

 

In 2025 we have build our new hotel for mixed groups. Mixed groups means that we take bookings from individual riders and match them to groups of around 10 riders. This way we have a very open atmosphere in the house with everyone meeting new people. 

 

The standard is the highest in Bakhmaro with nice single/double, twin and 2 triple rooms. All rooms have a private bathroom.

 

In the basement is a sauna with a relaxe room with view into the mountains. A gym offers the chance for some stretching or a quick work-out. In the skiroom is enough space for the skkis and the boot dryer to ensure dry and warm boots in the morning.

 

Most important is the spacious lounge with open fire place and the restaurant with two big tables for both groups. The panoramic windows offer a great view over the mountain range surrounding Bakhmaro.

The PIONEERS

The PIONEERS

After many years we were able to buy a small piece of land in 2020 and were able to build our own hotel. It is one of the few legal buildings in Bakhmaro.

The house has a very modern design in order to keep up with Bakhmaro's rapid development in the future. In addition, there is a nice contrast to our simple alpine huts in Adjara. During construction we tried to find a mixture of local expertise and modern building materials. The house was made from hemp stones that stored CO2. It has central heating fueled by local wood and nutshell briquettes.

The PIONEERS has space for two groups of 8-12 freeriders each. The 10 rooms are divided into twin rooms, double rooms and triple rooms and each has its own bathroom. In addition, each room has a balcony. The rooms can also be booked as single rooms. On the ground floor there is the lounge with an open fireplace and the dining room. In the basement is a sauna with relaxation room and a mini-gym for stretching. A heated ski and ski-boot room is ensuring dry boots in the morning.

 

Mostly, we are using The PIONEERS for repeating private groups.


The surcharge for a single room is € 500,- per person.

Alignment

Bakhmaro is ideally located for direct access to a variety of different slopes. The distances are short and there are practically no downdays, as the nearest trees are always within reach.

In Bakhmaro we have 4-5 groups per appointment and meanwhile the abandoned mountain village is no longer as deserted as we found it a few years ago.

The Pioneers is our most comfortable accommodation.

Riders Lodge by PIONEERS

Riders Lodge by PIONEERS

The Riders Lodge is our guest house with almost hotel standard in Bakhmaro next to the PIONEERS. We hosted the first freeriders there in winter 2023/24. We have completed the lodge in summer 2024.

The solid wooden house has 6 twin bedrooms and 2 triple rooms with en suite bathrooms, as well as a rooftop unit with a twin and a triple bedroom with a bathroom. All rooms have a balcony. The lodge has a sauna outside and shares a hot tub with the PIONEERS.

Next winter we will use the Riders Lodge mainly for private groups.

Bakhmaro Chalet

In 2026 we purchased a guest house and renovated it. We added bathrooms for all bedrooms. Now, there are 5 bedrooms for 2 or 3 riders.

 

The house has got central heating.

 

On the 2nd floor is the lounge with a Swedish fire stove. On the first floor a small dining room with kitchen.

 

In the entrance is a ski room with boot heat heater for dry ski-boots in the morning. In front of the guest house, we have a sauna hut.

 

The Chalet is perfect for private groups of 10 to 12 riders. We are also using it for mixed groups as a cheaper alternative to the Stars.

 

The locatiuon is in the Eastern part of Bakhmaro with a good view over the resort and a lot of sunshine in the afternoon and evening. From Chedrekili you can ski right in front of the house.

Bakhmaro Base

The Bakhmaro Base is a guest house in the eastern part of Bakhmaro with ski-in from Chedrekili and Buksieti.

 

The guest house has got 3 studios:

2nd floor: 1 room with 3 (bunk-)beds and one bathroom

2nd floor: 1 room with 3 (bunk-)beds sharing one bathroom with the guides

3rd floor:  2 rooms with 2 single beds each sharing one bathroom

 

On the first floor is a combines dining and luving area, with a closed fire stove, where our ladies bake bread and Khachapuri.

 

In the entrance is space for the skis and boots (skiboot dryer). A sauna hut is in front of the guest house.
