Snow- & Weather report

Since November 20th, 2023 it has been snowing several times. The warm front that had previously passed through caused the old snow cover of a good 20 cm to melt away quite quickly with high temperatures and strong winds. Afterwards, a good three-quarters of a meter of fresh snow fell, sometimes with strong winds. Yesterday and tonight another half meter came.

Bakhmaro is currently covered in deep snow. Today the snow was super fluffy. Even in the forest area there is a base of a good one meter. At higher altitudes the wind had a clear influence.

Freeride & Tour

We opened the season in Bakhmaro today with the first ski tour!

With 40cm of fresh snow and a good foundation, the conditions are already great. Our first ski tour led towards Chedrekili and into the forest. With low temperatures and no wind effects, the snow was super fluffy. A perfect start to the 2023/24 season! In a month we will have the first group in Bakhmaro and they can look forward to a good foundation.

Tips & Infos

Flights

If you haven't booked a flight yet, now is the time. Wizzair has significantly expanded its flight schedule, but there may still be bottlenecks at the weekend.

I usually book the Flex fare, which includes one large piece of luggage but also XL seats. This makes the flight much more comfortable, especially with longer legs. Ski luggage must be booked separately.

The Turkish Airlines flight to Batumi is a little later this year. Nevertheless, we will of course pick you up at the airport and take you directly to Bakhmaro or to project X. The flight is really too late for the Wolfsbett Hut in Adjara.


During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
