Snow Report

07/02/2026

Snow- & Weather report

After the dry previous week, the fresh snow at the beginning of the week was very welcome. It rained on Monday as a warm front passed through, then the rain turned to snow, and Wednesday brought a fantastic powder day.

The rollercoaster of temperatures continued with a cold night on Thursday, followed by rising temperatures again until Saturday.

The variable weather was also evident in the wind. Starting the week calmly, the wind picked up noticeably by midweek. This was also reflected in the rapidly drifting snow and the formation of wind-drifted snowpack. Things calmed down again towards the weekend.

Snow Data

  • Snow depth Bakhmaro: 1500 cm
  • Snow depth project X: 250 cm
  • Last snowfall: 04/02/2026
  • Amount of fresh snow: 20 cm

  • Maximum temperature: 3 C°

Freeride & Tour

We had a wonderful, varied week that offered all groups the opportunity to enjoy very different experiences: tree runs on fresh powder days and open slopes with views of the Greater Caucasus and the Black Sea on days with good visibility. The stable conditions also allowed us to ski the steeper couloirs on Sarkornia.

Tips & Infos

program 2026/27

We are not planning any capacity expansion in Bakhmaro for next year. This also means that we cannot meet increasing demand by adding more accommodations. Therefore, we recommend booking for next season in April or May at the latest. Returning guests have priority booking until the end of March.

From now on, we are offering Stars exclusively for mixed groups. The maximum group size for individial bookings of friends is 5 people. This corresponds to half a freeride group/cat. In this way, we aim to create balanced groups that contribute to an open and communicative atmosphere.

For private groups, we offer our guesthouses: the Chalet (10-12 freeriders) and the Base (8-10 freeriders). There, the group will have complete privacy.

At Pioneers and Riders Lodge, we will be booking both fixed groups and mixed groups.

During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
