The week was characterized by mostly cloudy skies and light snowfall. Initially somewhat warmer, it gradually became colder throughout the week. The regular, light snowfall brought increasingly
better conditions. Unfortunately, for Bakhmaro, the snow fell with very little wind this week, which contributed to the excellent snow quality.
On Wednesday, with up to 40 cm of fresh snow, the sun even came out. An absolutely perfect day. On Friday, the snowfall deteriorated, and visibility worsened, so the group called it a day early.
Due to the weather, the groups spent a lot of time in the forest.
Wednesday was a perfect day, and it was also the first day a group was out on the slopes using only electric snowcats – from morning until afternoon. However, we had to swap the snowcats every
few hours – we have two Xelom Snow Cats.
We ended the week with perfect conditions, and next week looks just as good...
Tipping is a topic I am often asked about on site. Yes, of course the team is happy to receive a tip. It is also a nice incentive for good service and a nice thank you. Of course, tipping is
voluntary and the amount is up to you.
Guides are given tips separately because, as freelancers, they are not directly part of the local team. Sometimes groups also give something separately for their cat driver, sometimes together
with the rest of the team. The tip is then divided equally within the team. There are around 5 people per group (not including drivers and guides).
It might make sense to factor the tip into your cash planning.
During the season we send out a link to this snow report every week to inform you as a freerider about the snow conditions and the course of the season, to give tips for your tour and to introduce the team. Of course we also want to increase the anticipation. If you no longer wish to receive the link, you can unsubscribe from the snow report at any time. With the end of the season we also stop the weekly snow report.
